Kate is a Senior

Kate has matured into a wonderful young lady. We are so proud of her. She is so beautiful, creative, smart and funny. We are so happy that she is in our family.

It is so hard to imagine that she is beginning her senior year in high school.

This year she is the Senior Editor and Chief of the Bountiful Brave School Newspaper, she is the Copy Editor of the Yearbook and as if that were not enough she is the Drama Club Secretary.

Way to go Kate, we love you!!!

Mountain Cabin in Joe's Reservior

I have this fantastic friend, Josie, who invited us to her family cabin in the Manti-Lasalle National Forest. WOW! Totally AWESOME. Josie and her family are the most wonderful people we have ever met. They took us (well Tim, Brandon and Don) cliff jumping and to see some of the most wonderful places. What an awesome experience. I hope that we can go back sometimes. We made some nice friends. and memories as well.

Sunday Drive

After church on Sunday we took a drive up past Bridal Veil Falls and up thru Sundance. It was a breathtaking drive. The water in the falls is FREEZING, seriously. I dangled my feet in and had to take them out after just a minute and they literally hurt.

Seven Peaks

Long Drives, Funerals, Sleepless Nights, Friends

At the funeral of my Father, Steve Godwin, I was able to get a photograph with my Grandma Della, Sisters', Brother and Cousin. Later, I was able to visit with Grandma Della before climbing back in the car to make the long arduous journey back to Utah.
This was the hardest trip I have every made in my whole life. I found out on Sunday Night (July 24th) @9pm that he had passed away. Mom and I left North Salt Lake on Monday morning @9am. We got to Atmore around Midnight Tuesday night. The viewing was Wednesday evening, funeral was Thursday morning and we left for home on Friday morning. I pulled into my house at 3:30am Sunday morning.
Oh, by the way during that time my family moved. My husband and children and my wonderful FANTASTIC coworkers moved me while I was gone. I am so lucky to have such wonderful people in my life.

BYU Visit

Took Kate and Jessica for a tour @ BYU. It was pretty interesting. They got some swag. I think that this is only the beginning :D

Pineview Reservior July

We had a picnic at Pineview Reservior. It was a very fun HOT day. Next time I think that we will try to get here earlier and get a spot that has a bit more shade.

Happy Birthday Tim

Independence Day Celebration

On July 1st we attended fireworks in Centerville. It was pretty impressive. Then on Saturday morning we went to the Independence day parade. It was pretty good. Seems that taffy is the candy of choice here. LOL!

Brandon's Piano Recital

Brandon has been taking piano lessons this year. He had a recital on June 27th. He did a fantastic job. We are so proud of you Brandon.

Cabela's is like a Museum

We went to Cabelas for the first time. Wow, it is like a museum. We had a fun time. What a place.

36 lbs of Apples

I purchased a 36lb box of apples. With the help of Kate and Brandon we peeled, cored and cut the apples, then made 17 jars of apple pie filling and 1 jar of apple sauce. DELICIOUS!! Is all I can say.. But I think that apartments are not made for canning.

Young Women Fundraiser for Girls Camp

The Young Women in our Ward developed a cookbook comprised of recipes collected from members. They are selling these cookbooks as a fundraiser for Girls Camp this summer. Tuesday night we had a RS social where we prepared some of our recipes and shared them, while the YW entertained us. It was a very fun evening and delicious too.

Our Saturday @ Putt-Putt

We dropped Kate off for work :( and spent some time playing Putt-Putt at Boondocks in Kaysville. Brandon and Tim played above Par; Mom, not so much.

Kate got the Job!

Kate got a job as a Games Attendant at Lagoon Amusement Park. Yay Kate!

Disneyland 4-2011

I totally LOVE Disneyland! I could go there every week. I may need new shoes, because by the end of the first day I had blisters. But I totally LOVE Disney. The California Screamin is the GREATEST roller coaster EVER!!! Thanks Mom and Don for meeting us there. Thanks Kate and Brandon for going with your Mom to Disneyland. Yes, I am still a kid at heart, I had to ride It's A Small World. It's a tradition. I think that we had optimal weather and the lines were not too long. We were there for 3 days and still didn't see everything. Now I see why you would need a 6 day pass~

Brandon is 12 years old! Happy Birthday

Brandon had celebrated his 12th birthday at Boondocks in Kaysville, with bowling and lasertag. It snowed that day and so we are

so glad that we planned an indoor activity. Brandon's friend Nathan was his guest. We had a blast. Happy Birthday Big Guy. We love you~

Kate's 17th Birthday

Kate turned 17 on January 18th. It is so hard to believe how fast time is going by. She is such an exceptional young woman and I am so proud of her.

She had her birthday party in our apartment clubhouse. Several of her friends from school came. Kate had several games planned. We made an iPod cake. Everyone seemed to have a great time.
