Disneyland 4-2011

I totally LOVE Disneyland! I could go there every week. I may need new shoes, because by the end of the first day I had blisters. But I totally LOVE Disney. The California Screamin is the GREATEST roller coaster EVER!!! Thanks Mom and Don for meeting us there. Thanks Kate and Brandon for going with your Mom to Disneyland. Yes, I am still a kid at heart, I had to ride It's A Small World. It's a tradition. I think that we had optimal weather and the lines were not too long. We were there for 3 days and still didn't see everything. Now I see why you would need a 6 day pass~

Brandon is 12 years old! Happy Birthday

Brandon had celebrated his 12th birthday at Boondocks in Kaysville, with bowling and lasertag. It snowed that day and so we are

so glad that we planned an indoor activity. Brandon's friend Nathan was his guest. We had a blast. Happy Birthday Big Guy. We love you~

Kate's 17th Birthday

Kate turned 17 on January 18th. It is so hard to believe how fast time is going by. She is such an exceptional young woman and I am so proud of her.

She had her birthday party in our apartment clubhouse. Several of her friends from school came. Kate had several games planned. We made an iPod cake. Everyone seemed to have a great time.

A Fun Family Weekend

Saturday we went to the Joseph Smith Memorial Museum, which was once the Hotel Utah. This view is from the top floor. Very lovely.
Later we walked over to the Beehive House and took the tour and then walked on over to the Church History Museum, we were only able to spend about 20 minutes there since it was about to close, but the kids were able to do this great dance in the kids museum section.

New Years Eve

For New Years Eve, We went to Salt Lake City. There was this Eve Celebration thru out the City. It was so super fantastic. We had a great time. We participated in a Broadway Musical Sing-a-long, we heard Swiss Bells, a Celtic group perform. We watched a Improv Comedy Show. We then went to the Salt Palace and the kids surprised us by having a blast at Bounce Town, it was this huge area with moon walks some for kids and some for kids aged 12 and older. The kids really had fun. There was also a party in the Ballroom at the Salt Palace with huge balls. It was sooooo..... fun. We saw this Incendiary Circus that was very good and a group of guys doing snow ski/board stunts that were very exciting. And to end it all some great fire works. The night was very cold with some snow, but there was plenty of indoor activities so that we could warm up. Welcome 2011, Let us do our best to be who we should this year, and to live life to it's fullest.~

Sledding In Happy Hollow

Today we went sledding in Kaysville @ Happy Hollow. It is a great place that I saw on the internet. When we got there, the hollow was full of kids and adults alike sledding and having a good time. A little more snow would have made it a bit more fun. It sure was cold.~ We are sure that we will come back.......

Sledding In West Bountiful

On the Day after Christmas it finally began to snow. My poor Mom and Don had been waiting for snow for their whole visit. Yay! So with the small amount of snow that arrived and with it still snowing we went to the West Bountiful park and went sledding down the hill. We built a snowman, which is something that Mom had always wanted to do. It was fun. ~ Maybe it will snow some more before they leave.
